Sensory News
The NYC DOE recently had a “Share Day” event, where OT students were able to share their fieldwork projects. An informational handout that was created by two students working in the Sensory Education, Exploration and Discovery (SEED) program. The OT interns involved were Tamara Brown from NYIT and Jessica Guzman from Touro college. They worked together to create this handout for the parents who have children in the SEED program at the DOE. SEED is a new sensory gym that has been launched in each borough.
Intern Highlight: Meridith Butler
Meridith Butler is a Master's Occupational Therapy student at LIU. Meridith
completed a literature search and article reviews for the Executive Function
section of the Evidence Inventory.
Intern Highlight: Sydney Landsman
Sydney Landsman is a Master's Occupational Therapy student at NYIT. Sydney
completed a literature search and article reviews for the Sensory Strategy
section of the Evidence Inventory.
Intern Highlight: Lydia Saad
Lydia Saad is a recent Occupational Therapy graduate of Mercy College. Lydia completed a literature search and article reviews for the ADL section of the Evidence Inventory.
